WELLBEING

Pink Rooster has an ‘open to all’ policy and we  strive to ensure everyone can live mentally healthy lives providing access to services that help improve mental and physical wellbeing.

Our mental health is about how we feel inside, or how we are emotionally. Our wellbeing activities and services are designed to help improve how we feel about ourselves inside and on an emotional level.

Loneliness has a big impact on mental health, and much of the work we do is bringing groups of people together to share experiences, take part in group activities, build social connections and learn new skills that can boost your confidence. Having a chat, talking to someone who is going through similar experiences and having a laugh and having people work and volunteer with us who have lived experiences with a greater understanding of what our beneficiaries may be going through.

Through our volunteering and work experience programmes we aim to provide people with transferable skills to help improve employment prospects or opportunities to enter into higher education and to build social connections, gain confidence and have fun.

Creating a safe space where people can come and not be judged, or stigmatised is an important part of what we do to help improve wellbeing.

We offer a  range of activities created to specifically improve overall wellbeing including:

  • Choirs
  • Sound Relaxation (sound baths)
  • Mindfulness
  • Yoga
  • Music
  • Art
  • Virtual Reality and Immersive for relaxation, mindfulness

The jobs that we do every day can also play a major part in our mental and emotional wellbeing. We offer work place wellbeing sessions for small or larger groups of staff at their workplace or at our centre and outreach venues
